Don't become me wrong I'm not trying to beat the system or anything, just wondering. Let's say you have some wellness issues but you can pass the physical due to the medication you're taking(it's possible). I don't see a problem with all doctors that perform DOT physicals having access to a shared database of medical records. If you tin pass the test regardless of what weather condition/medications/etc. you lot might have so that seems like the bottom line. If you tin can't pass it at i dr. you lot shouldn't be able to pass it at whatever doctor.
I doubt any doctor is going to say "well I see you take medication X for status Y, which doesn't seem to be an issue at this time, but I think it might get worse in the future, so I just won't pass you now."

I call up the general idea is that if someone is unfit to drive a regular vehicle and that causes them to be involved in an blow, the damage they cause will be (in full general) much less than someone driving a truck nether the same circumstances. I totally agree with you in that there are PLENTY of people out there that medically shouldn't be driving any vehicle. I think people should accept to retest (both medically and driving examination) every few years to maintain their license.

I sympathize what you're saying and i tin agree with you to a point. Simply if truck driving is all y'all know how to exercise you and all you are qualified to do, if you lot are faced with losing your job and are unable to provide for your family unit any other way, you might feel a piffling different! I don't know how quondam you are, or what your health is like simply i utilise to feel the same way you exercise when i first started driving. Now i suffer from a status that is the d o t doctor knew nearly it, i would the out of trucking forever. Bear in mind i have had this condition for 12 years. It looks like well obviously i can still practise the job in spite of this "disqualifying condition".
That is 1 of the bug with the so chosen standards. ( Don't even get me started on body mass index)
How am i going to explain it to my wife and 3 kids that live in dwelling house and all the bill collectors well i tin can't piece of work anymore??? All because some #### made a decision with no basis in reality !

Put yourself in my shoes what practise y'all do??? I'll tell y'all when i'k going to practise: i'm going to keep driving a truck as long every bit i can go away with it! I don't hateful running over hours, overweight, or going down the route similar some idiot. Until the system catches up with me and they decline 2 upshot me a medical card, and I can nevertheless drive safely, I will keep on trucking considering I have no other options!
