Will Dismissed Ticket Appear Background Check

I received a traffic ticket in May of last twelvemonth, fought it, and the ticket was dismissed. I received a check with a full refund and thought that the worst was behind me. However, I just received my AAA automobile insurance renewal statement and it is $500 higher than concluding year. Plainly, the speeding ticket is still on my DMV record and that is causing the higher rates. How can I decrease my insurance fees? Do I have to provide evidence to the DMV that my ticket was dismissed and then accept AAA check my DMV record?

Your DMV record should only prove convictions, not citations that did Not result in convictions.

How were these dismissed? At trial? On appeal? Not prosecuted?

I submitted a Written Not Guilty Plea and then a Trial past Written Declaration. The officer did not respond to the Trial by Written Declaration and the example was dismissed.

You might want to pull your DMV record and see what it has to say. Unless the courtroom sent a transcript of the example to the DMV indicating a confidence, the cite shouldn't be on your DMV tape.

It might also exist that the insurer pulled your court tape, and NOT your DMV record. That might show that the cite was issued and the matter was scheduled for court.

Thanks for your advice! I pulled my DMV record and it shows the following:

VIOL/DT CONV/DT SEC/VIOL DKT/NO DISP Courtroom VEH/LIC
05-11-12 10-09-12 21461A

The 21461A was the turning violation, and so unfortunately information technology'south on my record. I also pulled my court records and it shows that the instance was dismissed on 11/five/12 (which was a month later the confidence date on my DMV record).

AAA mentioned that they only look at DMV records so should I submit a Drivers License Right Request to the DMV and also take an official courtroom letter of the alphabet stating that the case was dismissed? This could accept up to four to half dozen weeks so should I pay the higher premium in the concurrently? Will information technology be reimbursed?
